Ag Seminar Focuses on Educating Indiana’s Farmers

Partner Gary Chapman of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP will present during an informational agriculture seminar in Muncie on February 23, which is hosted by Halderman Real Services and Halderman Farm Management and sponsored by Old National Bank.
The Ag Seminar, which is free to attend, will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Muncie Area Career Center in the President’s Room (2500 North Elgin Street, Muncie, Ind.). Howard Halderman, president of Halderman Farm Management and Real Estate Services, and AgYield’s Ben Wigington also will present during the seminar.
Halderman will speak on land values and lease trends. Wiginton will share information on AgYield, adapting and Athena. Chapman, who is chair of the Real Estate Group and the Agriculture Law Group at Bose McKinney & Evans, will discuss the essentials of estate planning and ownership transition.
Chapman also is a member of the firm’s Estate and Wealth Transfer Planning Group. He focuses on the needs of agribusiness by assisting with choice of entity, contract reviews, acquisitions, estate and business succession planning, taxes, leases and property transfers.
