Babb, Hamilton Present at Indiana Association of Cities and Towns Municipal Law Seminar


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that attorneys Bryan H. Babb and James Hamilton will speak at the annual Municipal Law Seminar for the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT).

The seminar takes place on Thursday, June 10, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Friday, June 11, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:25 p.m., at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel, 31 West Ohio Street in Indianapolis. Hamilton will present "Health Insurance and IACT Medical Trust" from 3:15 p.m. - 4:05 p.m., and Babb will present "Impact Fees" from 4:10 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., both on June 10.

Established in 1891, the IACT is a coalition of municipal officials who seek to improve the quality of life in Indiana through effective government. IACT advocates for municipalities as the official voice of municipal government in Indiana, and promotes good government through education, training and leadership.

A partner in Bose McKinney & Evans' Business Services and Tax Groups, Hamilton engages in a broad-based practice covering health and welfare arrangements, insurance, executive compensation and federal and state taxation.

Hamilton is a frequent author and speaker and has delivered more than 150 speeches to professional organizations and clients since joining the firm in 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree with distinction from Cornell University, his law degree, cum laude, from Indiana University-Bloomington and LL.M. in taxation from New York University Law School. Residing in Indianapolis, Hamilton is a member of the Indiana State and Indianapolis Bar Associations. He is also on the Board of Directors of Second Helpings, Inc.

Babb is the chair of Bose McKinney & Evans' Appellate Group, and a member of the Litigation Group, assisting clients with a wide variety of complex commercial appellate and litigation matters. He also chairs the firm's Recruiting Committee, and sits on the firm's Diversity Committee. He received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, his Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Indiana University-Bloomington.

Residing in Fishers, Babb is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. He also is included in The Best Lawyers in America® 2008 - 2010 in the "Appellate" practice area and Indiana Super Lawyers® 2009, 2010 (Appellate).
