The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group will host a program for bankers focusing on consumer lending.
The program will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 8:00-9:30 AM at the offices of Bose McKinney & Evans located at 111 Monument Circle, Suite 2700, Indianapolis, Indiana. To make a reservation, contact Mike Sullivan at msullivan@boselaw.com or 317-684-5293. Reservations are required, as seating is limited.
The attorneys in the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group have prepared a program to help bankers understand two important aspects of consumer lending. The first topic focuses on Qualified Written Request (QWR) under RESPA. Attorneys will explain how lenders have a duty to acknowledge and to respond to consumer disputes and inquiries to avoid facing statutory penalties for lack of a timely response.
The second topic highlights the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Bankers will learn when the FDCPA applies to lenders and what lenders need to know and do to assist their counsel in addressing FDCPA issues.
Bose McKinney & Evans holds first-tier rankings in bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights / insolvency and reorganization law and in bankruptcy litigation by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers®.
