INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is proud to announce attorney Jonathan Mayes has been named a finalist for Junior Achievement's 2012 Best and Brightest Award.

The Best and Brightest event was created by Junior Achievement to recognize up and coming talent and the next generation of leaders in the Indianapolis community. Finalists in each category are judged on professional accomplishments and leadership qualities.

An awards program and reception will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 to recognize Central Indiana's outstanding young professionals, age 40 and under. Ten finalists will be honored in 10 different industry categories as follows: Accounting; Banking & Financial Services; Education & Nonprofit; Government; Health & Life Sciences; Law; Manufacturing, Retail & Services; Media, Entertainment & Sports; Real Estate Development & Construction; and Technology. The event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Farm Bureau Building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. All 100 finalists will receive an award and the winners in each category will be announced.

Mayes is of counsel in the Labor and Employment Law Group where he represents national, regional, and local clients in labor and employment litigation. Mayes has represented clients at the trial level in both state and federal courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Indiana Supreme Court, and Indiana Court of Appeals. Mayes has also represented clients in dozens of matters before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Indiana Civil Rights Commission. He was included in the Indiana Lawyer's list of Up and Coming Lawyers in 2010.
