SEITZ RECOGNIZED AS HONORARY INSURANCE COMMISSIONER

Bose McKinney & Evans is pleased to announce that partner
Daniel B. Seitz was
recently declared an Honorary Insurance Commissioner for the state of Indiana by
the Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI). The honor recognizes Seitz’s
outstanding contribution in the field of insurance.
IDOI is primarily responsible for enforcing Indiana’s insurance laws to ensure
that Indiana'’s insurance consumers are treated fairly.
“Over the years, Dan has been an invaluable and trusted resource to the Indiana
Department of Insurance. He has conducted himself with integrity and has always
provided the department with both sides of an issue in a way that can be
trusted”, said Jim Atterholt, commissioner of insurance for IDOI.
Seitz has more than 35 years of experience representing diverse public policy
interests in the Indiana legislature and working with Indiana regulatory
agencies. A resident of Avon, Ind., Seitz has worked in the Indiana legislature
and with Indiana regulatory agencies since 1970 with a focus on insurance and
health policy and insurance regulatory transactional matters.
Seitz also serves as managing principal of Bose McKinney & Evans public affairs
affiliate Bose Public Affairs Group
LLC (formerly dbs BoseTreacy Associates LLC). Prior to the creation of
BoseTreacy Associates LLC with co-principal Ed Treacy in 2000, Seitz was
chairman of the Public Affairs Group of Bose McKinney & Evans. Before joining
Bose McKinney & Evans, he was the vice president of governmental relations for
Lincoln National Corporation based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
A graduate of Indiana University Law School - Bloomington, he is a former board
member of the Public Affairs Council; a co-founder, member and two time past
president of the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana; past chairman and a
board member of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute; a board member of the
Indiana Legal Foundation; a member or former member of the Environmental, Public
Affairs, Tax and Healthcare Committees of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and
the Public Affairs and Personnel and Industrial Relations Committees of the
Indiana Manufacturers Association; a past president of the Mental Health
Association in Indiana; a past member of the Finance Advisory Committee to the
State Health Finance Commission; and board member of the Indiana Chamber of
Commerce. |
