In addition to gaining practical experience in the legal field, summer associates from the law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP recently participated in a community service project at Paige Booker Memorial Park, located at 842 N. Parker on the near east side.

The Bose McKinney & Evans summer associates and other volunteers with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful assembled and installed a swing set, slide and jungle gym for the play area at the heart of the park. The Bose McKinney & Evans summer associates are: LaMarr Datcher, third-year student at Valparaiso University School of Law; Robb Davis, third-year student at Northwestern University School of Law; Oni Harton, third-year student at Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis; Laura Howard, second-year student at Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington; and Jenny Mendelsohn, second-year student at Washington University School of Law.

Paige Booker Memorial Park was created in the memory of an infant who died of a heart defect when she was only seven weeks old. The park is ringed with trees that express the nobility of nature. To remind all that the purpose of life is the lives we share, the west side of the park is a gathering place with a pergola and picnic tables. The goal of the park is to draw the community together, and provide a place to share time with children, family and friends.
