INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis-based law firm Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that Yonghao Hou has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Group as a patent agent where she concentrates on intellectual property law issues, patent preparation and prosecution. Prior to joining Bose McKinney & Evans, she worked for more than a year as a patent agent and as a clerk for a large Indianapolis law firm. Hou earned her doctor of philosophy in biochemistry and molecular biology from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2002. She obtained her master of science in immunology and molecular virology from the Institute of Virology at the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, Beijing, China in 1997. Hou earned her bachelor of science in virology and molecular biology from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China in 1994. Currently she is expected to complete her law degree in 2011 from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. She has collaborated with biotechnology companies on drug discovery and development, and has designed, executed and analyzed data generated by research from biomedical experiments. She has led life science projects ranging from basic to clinical implications and applications, and has delivered presentations at national and international conferences regarding scientific models she constructed based on large volumes of research data. Hou also wrote a research proposal for a highly competitive American Heart Association grant where she obtained funding based on her excellent score and merit value. |
