Craig E. Pinkus
Profile
Craig Pinkus is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group. He also is a member of the Litigation and the Sports, Entertainment and Media Groups. He assists clients with a broad range of disputes and transactions involving all areas of intellectual property, entertainment, and other complex business arrangements. He has conducted trials and arbitrations throughout the United States and has argued appeals before the Seventh, Sixth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Indiana appellate courts, and United States Supreme Court.
Honors / Awards
Mr. Pinkus is a recipient of the American Bar Association Silver Gavel Award which recognizes those working with communications media that have been exemplary in helping to foster the American public's understanding of the law and the legal system.
He has been listed for more than 10 years in The Best Lawyers in America® (biotechnology, entertainment, and technology). He was the subject of the 2004 cover story, "Lawyer of Invention," for the inaugural Indiana Super Lawyers® and has been listed in all subsequent editions. (Entertainment & Sports in 2010)
Appearances / Publications
Mr. Pinkus is a frequent contributor to The Indiana Lawyer, authoring a column called "Sites for Sore Eyes" concerning the Internet and intellectual property. He has lectured extensively on a wide range of topics, most recently including the impact of the Roberts Court's decisions on patent law, careers in the post-consolidation live entertainment industry, effective management of an intellectual property portfolio, and evidence in the digital age. He was a pioneer national lecturer on the use of computers and electronic discovery in litigation.

Outside the Office
Mr. Pinkus is the father of four children whose careers are in the entertainment industry, insurance, teaching, and chemical engineering. A runner who has participated in races from 5K to marathons for more than 30 years, other interests include ancient to contemporary music, architecture, art, contemporary literature, fountain pens, and mechanical watches.
