Tony Setzer

Profile

Tony Setzer is a partner in the Real Estate Group.  He also is a member of the Financial Institutions Group and serves on the firm's Diversity Committee.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate development, leasing and project finance. Mr. Setzer's clients include residential and commercial developers, big-box and other retailers, outlot users, REITs, and institutional investors.  In addition to traditional purchases and sales, build-to-suits and lease transactions, he also counsels clients in matters relating to corporate headquarters and other facility relocations, joint ventures, private equity investment, and 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.  Mr. Setzer also has represented several clients in the disposition of financially distressed assets and property that has been contaminated by hazardous substances under applicable environmental laws.  Mr. Setzer also is experienced in finance and represents lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions, including mezzanine financing, letter of credit backed bond issuances, and loan work-outs and assumptions.  He also regularly serves as local counsel for out-of-state lenders transacting business in Indiana.
