Carl D. Overman

Profile

Carl D. Overman is of counsel to the Business Services Group and Tax Group, and assists clients in the design, structure, implementation and operation of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), leveraged ESOP transactions, and acquisitions utilizing ESOPs as corporate financing instruments. He helps clients understand the unique tax incentives and advantages (both personal and corporate) available through ESOPs, and the potential for increasing business productivity, earnings and cash flow. Previously, Mr. Overman served as the chairman of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Business Law Section, and is admitted to practice law in Indiana and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
