Timothy J. O'Hara

Profile

Tim O’Hara is a partner in the Family Law and Litigation Groups. Mr. O’Hara has a vast degree of experience in many areas of litigation, with an emphasis on family law issues.  With more than 30 years in the practice of law, he guides clients through high-profile and complex divorces, including those involving business assets and trust funds.  In addition to assisting with divorce negotiations, proceedings and property settlements, Mr. O'Hara advises clients on child custody issues, including parenting time guidelines, child support guidelines and options for parents when a job relocation takes one parent to another town.  He also assists clients with pre-nuptial agreements and adoptions.  Among Mr. O'Hara's clients are professional athletes, media professionals, entertainers and business executives.

In addition, Mr. O'Hara assists individual and corporate clients with commercial and personal litigation. He represents clients in administrative proceedings, real estate contractual disputes and employment litigation cases involving harassment or discrimination. He also has represented clients involved in bankruptcy proceedings, shareholder disputes, antitrust allegations, mortgage fraud, foreclosures, and civil and criminal cases. Mr. O’Hara has represented corporations and individuals investigated by state and federal agencies and grand juries for alleged white collar criminal activities. He also has tried and participated in numerous bench trials, as well as civil jury trials involving serious injuries, breach of contract, business matters and criminal jury trials involving major felonies.

He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before all courts in Indiana, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
