Jon M. Bailey

Profile

Jon Bailey is a partner and a member of the firm’s Governmental Services Group and Education Law Group. His practice includes the representation of public sector employers in policy development, negotiations and litigation. Mr. Bailey has been a practicing attorney since 1975 and a member of the firm since 1989. Prior to joining Bose McKinney & Evans, Mr. Bailey was chief counsel to the prosecuting attorney and counsel for the Indianapolis Police Department.

Appearances / Publications

Mr. Bailey has made hundreds of presentations to a a wide variety of public sector groups, including the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, the Indiana Municipal Lawyer’s Association, the Indiana School Boards Association, the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents and the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police. His speeches cover a variety of topics, including legal issues in conducting an internal investigation, basics of collective bargaining, effective evaluation of public employees, preparing to testify, and getting better contracts for public sector CEOs. For more than 20 years Mr. Bailey also has served as an instructor for the Indiana Department of Toxicology Breath Test School.
