Megan M. Mulford
Profile
Megan Mulford is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Group and the Sports, Entertainment and Media Group, focusing her practice on copyright, trademark and right of publicity matters and intellectual property agreements. Ms. Mulford assists clients in protecting their trademarks through clearance searches, filing of state and federal trademark applications and maintenance of registrations. She has experience drafting and filing copyright applications for business entities, universities, authors, artists and musicians. Ms. Mulford counsels clients on protection of intellectual property online, including drafting and review of website policies. She also drafts and reviews a variety of agreements, including trademark licenses, software licenses, film distribution agreements, option agreements, sponsorship agreements and publishing agreements.
Ms. Mulford received her J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, cum laude, in 2005. Ms. Mulford was a note development editor for the Indiana Law Review and a member of the Dean's Tutorial Society and Dean's Student Advisory Board. During law school, she worked as a graduate assistant for The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the Copyright Management Center. Ms. Mulford received her B.A. in communication arts and sciences, magna cum laude, from DePauw University in 2002, where her undergraduate honor scholar thesis, Art and Legality in America: Protecting Our Cultural Identity, earned her honors with distinction. Ms. Mulford is licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana.
