Lisa McKinney Goldner

Profile

Lisa McKinney is a partner and chair of the Environmental Law and Alcoholic Beverage Law Groups. Ms. McKinney concentrates her practice in five areas of law: environmental, administrative, alcohol and tobacco, procurements and equine law. Her particular focus within environmental law includes due diligence, Brownfields, grant and low interest loans assistance, Voluntary Remediation Program Cleanups, RCRA and CERCLA issues, as well as real estate and corporate transactions.

She has extensive experience in administrative matters before the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC), including policy and legislative task forces with the ATC, contract negotiations, application and renewal preparation, local board and ATC hearings, appeals and responding to alleged violations. She represents a range of clients from convenience stores, large retailers, restaurants, hotels, golf courses, drug and grocery stores, taverns and clubs. She also represents clients in federal, state and international matters related to permitting, production, distribution, labeling and marketing of alcohol products.

In addition, Ms. Goldner has successfully worked on procurement contracts and appeals before the Indiana Department of Administration, including procurement opportunities and appeals for certified women-owned or minority-owned businesses (MBE/WBEs). She also has experience in equine law handling issues such as the purchase of horses, disputes over ownership and property rights, breeding contracts, boarding contracts and involvement with equine associations.

A 1992 graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law - Bloomington, she is past-president of the Board of Directors for the Indiana University Maurer School of Law Alumni, a member of the IU Maurer School of Law Board of Visitors and a representative for the Maurer School of Law on the IU Alumni Association Executive Council. Ms. McKinney is admitted to practice before the Indiana Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana.

Ms. Goldner has written extensively on topics relating to environmental law, including remediation cleanup, Brownfields development and contamination. Her articles have appeared in numerous publications, including the Indiana Lawyer, Hoosier Banker, Indianapolis Business Journal, and publications for the American Bar Association and the Indiana Manufacturers Association.
