Steven D. Groth
Profile
Steven Groth is a partner in the Litigation Group. Mr. Groth concentrates his practice in transportation, business, and personal injury litigation. He defends clients in the trucking industry against wrongful death and serious injury claims. He represents businesses in the construction industry in connection with construction accidents, construction defect claims, and contract disputes. Mr. Groth also represents individuals and businesses against personal injury claims. He has significant jury trial experience, and has briefed and argued successful appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Indiana Court of Appeals. Mr. Groth received his B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois in Champaign, and his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and is a former member of the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he served as prosecutor, defense counsel, and Assistant Professor of Military Justice at the United States Naval Academy. He is admitted to practice in federal and state courts of Indiana and Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
