Weston E. Overturf
Profile
Weston E. Overturf is an associate in the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Group. Mr. Overturf represents debtors, creditors and other interest holders in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases in both federal judicial districts in Indiana. He also represents debtors and creditors in collections and foreclosure matters and landlord-tenant disputes (commercial and residential), negotiating and implementing settlements, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and payment arrangements. Mr. Overturf assists clients with asset protection planning and with mergers and acquisitions in the context of a 363 sale in the bankruptcy process. In addition, Mr. Overturf's experience includes serving as debtors' counsel in consumer bankruptcy matters and advising individuals and businesses, creditors and financial institutions, regarding: contracts/leases, contract breaches, conversion and/or transfer of corporate assets, debt-related issues, creditor collection violations, and other related legal issues.
Mr. Overturf earned his A.B. in liberal arts from Wabash College in 2004, where he was a member of the swim team and Sigma Chi Fraternity and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria interning at the United Nations International Trade Law Department. He earned his J.D. in 2007 from the University of Dayton School of Law.
