Kathleen Hart

Profile

Kathleen Hart is a partner in the Litigation Group. She handles a variety of commercial, business, employment and general litigation matters, many of which seek emergency relief, such as temporary restraining orders and injunctions in federal and state courts. Examples of her range of experience include the pursuit or defense of non-compete, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition claims; shareholder and corporate control disputes; failed business transactions; contract disputes and business torts; actions involving RICO, fraud, embezzlement and conversion claims; trust, guardianship, fiduciary duty, probate, land partition, and will contest disputes; bank and mortgage fraud cases; and litigation support for patent and intellectual property matters. Ms. Hart also serves as outside counsel for various privately owned businesses. Her practice includes consultation, preparation and negotiation of non-competition, non-disclosure, employment and severance agreements. In addition, she consults and assists clients with obtaining MBE/WBE (minority-owned business enterprises/woman-owned business enterprise) and DBE (disadvantaged business enterprise) certification in Indiana, as well as appeals of denials or decertifications.

Ms. Hart has spoken at many seminars on the topics of injunctive relief cases, non-competition agreements and trade secret misappropriation. She regularly consults with clients on ways to avoid litigation.
