David A. Butcher
Profile
David Butcher is partner and chair of the Business Services and Financial Institutions Groups. He practices in the areas of business services, financial institutions, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Butcher was a founder, officer and director of the Venture Club of Indiana and a member of the Advisory Board of Indianapolis Regional Small Business Development Center. He has written articles and lectured extensively on securities law and financial institutions issues. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of DePauw University, Mr. Butcher received his law degree from Indiana University where he was Order of the Coif and editor of the law journal. He has been a practicing attorney since 1966 and a partner at the firm since 1973.

Appearances / Publications
Mr. Butcher has given several presentations regarding business legal issues to various groups, including Indiana Continuing Education Forums, financial institutions and banking associations, and the Venture Club of Indiana. He’s also written several articles. His topics address legal issues such as charter conversions, banking regulations, securities law, financing devices and mergers and acquisitions.
