Pearson Smith is a partner in the Estate and Wealth Transfer Planning Group, the Business Services Group and the Financial Institutions Group. For more than 40 years, Mr. Smith has assisted clients and lectured in the areas of trusts and estates, wealth transfer planning, retirement plan distribution planning, private foundations, charitable planned giving and Mr. Smith is a Board Certified Indiana Trust & Estate Lawyer, certified by the Trust & Estate Specialty Board. Mr. Smith is past chairperson of the Indianapolis Bar Association Section on Taxation. Mr. Smith is a fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is a graduate of Yale Law School where he was on the Board of Editors of the Yale Law Journal. He joined Bose McKinney & Evans in 1964.
