Alan S. Townsend

Profile

Alan Townsend is a partner and vice chair of the Litigation Group. Mr. Townsend joined Bose McKinney & Evans LLP in 1992 and focuses his practice on business litigation, condemnation and eminent domain, land-use disputes, products liability defense, and attorney disciplinary matters. Mr. Townsend is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried cases in both federal and state court. He has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell, Indianapolis Monthly Magazine, and Indiana Business Magazine for his outstanding work as a litigator. Mr. Townsend also is a member of the Governmental Services Group, and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in condemnation and eminent domain proceedings on behalf of cities, towns, schools, and utilities. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and before the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts of Indiana as well as United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He graduated with highest distinction from Purdue University with a B.S. in agricultural economics, and he received his J.D. degree (cum laude) from Indiana University - Bloomington in 1992.
