The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce the addition of associate Philip Zimmerly to the Labor and Employment Group.
Zimmerly will focus his efforts on advising businesses regarding best practices for state and federal non-discrimination statutes, in matters relating to employee compensation, and in contractual agreements. He also provides counsel to businesses and individuals in litigation.
“Phil’s outstanding academic background and relevant work experience will be a great asset to our federal litigation and appellate practice capabilities,” said Dave Swider, chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Group. “We are very pleased to have Phil on board as a critical member to the success of our clients.”
Zimmerly’s experience includes serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Bobby Shepherd on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit and The Honorable Yvette Kane in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He also was legislative counsel for the ranking member on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and the Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts. During law school, Zimmerly worked as a legal intern at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.
Zimmerly earned his bachelor’s degree from Gannon University, where he was president of the student government association and a member of the Gannon University Board of Trustees. He completed his juris doctorate from the Alabama School of Law.
