With comprehensive healthcare changes coming soon, attorneys in the Labor and Employment Law Group of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP are hosting an educational seminar on March 6 in Indianapolis to help employers prepare for changes in the law. The seminar also features a presentation from the Employee Benefits Group.
Held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. with registration at 8:30 a.m. at the Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel, the seminar will help employers understand preparations that should be made in 2013 before the most impactful provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act go into effect on Jan. 1, 2014.
Also, attorneys will address the new compliance mandates and deadlines for the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule announced in January 2013. The intersection of the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act will be yet another topic covered in the seminar.
In the afternoon session, attorneys will lead interactive roundtable discussions with attendees on a variety of topics, including:
- National Labor Relations Board and Social Media
- Wage Payment Act/Fair Labor Standards Act
- New Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Initiatives
- I-9 Audits
The cost to participate in the seminar, including lunch, is $79. Reservations are required and space is limited. Additional information about the seminar, including how to register, can be found by visiting boselaw.com.
