The law firm Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is proud to announce the appointment of Alan Townsend as president of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Boone County.
Habitat for Humanity of Boone County provides low-income residents in Boone County with quality houses that are built by the homeowners and community volunteers. Since 1984, the non-profit organization has built 50 homes.
“I’m proud to be part of a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to make the dream of homeownership a reality,” said Townsend. “There is no other organization like Habitat for Humanity that provides the essential tools to strengthen families and communities throughout Boone County.”
Townsend, a 20-year resident of Boone County, joined Bose McKinney & Evans in 1992. A member of the Litigation Group, his practice is focused on business litigation and land-use disputes. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in condemnation and eminent domain proceedings on behalf of cities, towns, schools and utilities. Townsend received his juris doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from Purdue University.
