The law firm Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that paralegal Julie Johnson has been selected as ‘Indiana Paralegal of the Year’ by the Indiana Paralegal Association (IPA).
“Julie’s hard work and dedication has been witnessed by our group for years,” said R.J. McConnell, chair of the firm’s Estate and Wealth Transfer Planning Group. “We are so proud her peers are recognizing her with this prestigious award.”
Johnson is a paralegal in the Estate and Wealth Transfer Planning Group, and has more than 25 years of experience in estate and trust administration. Johnson helps clients with all aspects of administration, including asset transfers, accountings and assists in the preparation of death tax, income tax and gift tax returns.
She began her law firm career with Bose McKinney & Evans LLP in the mid-1980s, and worked at two other law firms before returning to Bose McKinney & Evans in 2010. She attended Indiana University – Bloomington earning her bachelor’s degree in forensic studies and Indiana University – Purdue University of Indianapolis, where she earned her paralegal certificate. Johnson serves on the Board of Directors for the IPA and previously served as treasurer.
The Indiana Paralegal Association’s ‘Paralegal of the Year Award’ has traditionally been IPA’s most distinguished award, because it is given to a member of IPA who has demonstrated exceptional loyalty and commitment to the betterment of IPA, and is recognized as being the most valued, the most respected and the most deserving of IPA members to earn this sterling reputation.
