Summer means special events and outdoor fun, and one of the biggest events of the season that drives business for the hospitality sector, as well as entertainment opportunities for corporations and non-profits, is the Brickyard 400.
Signs and banners commemorating the 20th running of the Brickyard 400 and advertising alcoholic beverages may be placed within 200 feet of a permitted premises beginning on July 7. The banners must be down no later than five days after the event (August 2). Remember, if the banners or signs are provided by a wholesaler, brewery, distillery or winery, the banners or signs may not contain the name and/or address of the restaurant, bar or permitted premises for which the advertisements are created.
In addition, remember that special events, including tent or outdoor events on your property, may require additional event permits for your organization (non-profits included!) to remain in compliance with local and state laws.
