Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is proud to announce Chief Operations Officer Vicki Bruce Hansen has been appointed to the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Conference Committee for 2015.
The conference committee is responsible for assisting the association with planning their 2015 annual conference and exposition, set to take place in Nashville, Tenn.
ALA was founded in 1971 to provide support to professionals involved in the management of law firms, corporate legal departments and legal agencies. In addition, the association hosts conferences and special interest retreats that bring legal administrators together for intensive learning and networking.
Hansen possesses nearly 30 years of legal management experience allowing her to play an instrumental role in the success of Bose McKinney & Evans. As chief operations officer, Hansen serves as leader of the human resources department, which includes overseeing staff reviews, personnel management, recruiting, benefits, wellness, policy development and compliance, staff development and employee satisfaction for more than 105 attorneys and more than 105 administrative staff members, as well as to the firm’s 32-member ancillary business, Bose Public Affairs Group LLC.
Since joining Bose McKinney & Evans in 2000, Hansen has led the operational and human resource functions of the firm.  Her operational duties have included facilities management, the build-out of more than 135,000 square feet of space, the start-up and relocation of satellite offices in Fort Wayne, Ind. and Washington, D.C., the relocation of the downtown Indianapolis headquarters in 2008, document management, RFP development and review for firm contracts with vendors, negotiation of vendor contracts, negotiation of leases, and oversight of the firm’s library services.
Hansen earned a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Public Policy and Management.  She is involved in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), IndySHRM, the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and the Indiana Chapter of ALA, including serving as a board member from 1999-2002 and as president in 2001. In addition, she is also a member of the firm’s Women’s Connection, Diversity Committee and Social Committee.
