The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to continue its Bose Means Banking (and Breakfast!) series with a presentation by Daniel W. Lias, a business consultant from CT Corporation.
This installment of the series, “UCC RA 9 – In Search of Clarification,” takes place on Wednesday, June 4, at Bose McKinney & Evans, 111 Monument Circle, in Indianapolis at 8:15 a.m. ET.
Though significant modifications of RA 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code were made in 2013, financial institutions still struggle with proper searches and perfection security interests for individuals, trusts and business.
Lias’s presentation will look at the definition of public records, adjustments to continued security interests under 9-316, individual debtor name options, proper filing for federal organizations and corrections statements. Recent court cases highlighting some of these issues will also be discussed.
The Bose Means Banking series is designed to highlight areas in which banking and the law intersect, to quickly educate business owners on the topics relevant to their businesses and to arm attendees with tools to better serve their clients.
Reservations are required and can be made here. Seating for this event is limited.
