Ronald Elberger of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP Named “Volunteer of the Year” by National Kidney Foundation of Indiana
Ronald Elberger was named “Volunteer of the Year” by the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (NKFI), Inc., for his outstanding contribution of time and resources to the foundation. The award was given during the organization’s Annual Meeting on December 2. Elberger is a partner in at Bose McKinney & Evans, and the chair of its Sports, Entertainment and Media Group.
The award was given for his work throughout the year for NKFI. The foundation cited, in particular, Elberger’s commitment to making its 2014 gala a success, by serving not only as speaker but also recruiting, planning and helping execute the event, which exceeded its fundraising goal. “Many volunteers speak of reaching a higher level. Mr. Elberger didn’t talk about it, he took us there,” said Margie Evans Fort, chief executive officer for NKFI.
The NKFI is the leading health organization in Indiana providing education, programs and services to Kidney Disease patients and transplant recipients. It provides screenings and other awareness programs to educate the public about the leading causes of Kidney Disease: Diabetes and Hypertension.
“It’s been a privilege to assist the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana in its multifaceted efforts to help kidney patients throughout Indiana with programs such as Kidney Disease screenings, camps for children with Kidney Disease, outreach and education programs, and more,” Elberger said. “If you have the time or resources to assist, I urge you to do so or to serve as a volunteer,” he added.
