Bose McKinney & Evans and Bose Public Affairs Group are pleased to announce our first canine “employee.”  Peyton is a one-year-old Golden Retriever who is a service-dog-in-training through Indiana Canine Assistance Network (ICAN).

ICAN is the only accredited service dog training program in Indiana and has brought together dogs, offenders and people living with disabilities to provide hope for more enriched and independent living.

ICAN’s primary instruction for service dogs is provided in Indiana prisons, which provides constant training and reinforcement but is somewhat limited to sights, smells and sounds that are important to a service dog’s education.  Furlough volunteers, like Bose’s Jennifer Walker, introduce the dogs to real world situations like going to work, walking on crowded sidewalks in downtown, riding in cars, attending meetings, sitting in restaurants and socializing appropriately with people.

Peyton arrived at the law firm on April 21, 2016, and will be with us for three weeks.  Welcome, Peyton!
