The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that Melissa Wakefield was recognized by the Indianapolis Bar Association as Paralegal of the Year for 2018.

Wakefield, an Indiana registered paralegal, has worked at Bose McKinney & Evans since 1993, serving in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group since 1997. She is responsible for drafting numerous documents, which include complaints, discovery requests, motions for default and summary judgment. She also orders and reviews title commitments as well as maintains extensive contact with clients, court personnel, title companies and sheriffs.
Wakefield is an active member of the IndyBar Paralegal Committee, which develops and plans events, programs and resources that advance all paralegals in the Indianapolis area. She served as the committee secretary, chair-elect and as its chair in 2009. She also maintains involvement with the Indiana State Bar Association Affiliate Committee and the Indiana Paralegal Association.
Wakefield will be honored at the IndyBar Paralegal Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, May 31.
