Welcome Back, Luis Hernandez, Our Diversity Fellowship Recipient
Bose McKinney & Evans welcomes back Luis Hernandez, a law student at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, for another summer internship as our Diversity Fellowship recipient. Hernandez began his fellowship during the summer of 2017 by serving as an intern.
Bose McKinney & Evans has provided Hernandez with a second $5,000 scholarship for his legal studies. In addition, one of the firm’s attorneys mentors Hernandez throughout the fellowship. Hernandez will be eligible for an associate position at Bose McKinney & Evans after graduation from law school and the successful completion of the fellowship.
As a student at Indiana University South Bend, Hernandez majored in political science and philosophy. After graduating in 2012, he became owner and CEO of Winston Housing LLC, a residential property management company. Hernandez began his studies at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2016, and was an Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO) fellow. He worked as a summer/winter associate at Monterrosa Law Group LLC in South Bend, Indiana.
The Bose McKinney & Evans Diversity Fellowship was first awarded in 2015 with a goal to assist first year law students from historically under represented backgrounds at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law who are committed to meaningful support of increasing diversity and inclusion efforts in the legal profession.
To be considered for the fellowship, the student must be enrolled in a Juris Doctor program at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average throughout the fellowship.
