Hospitality Industry COVID-19 Updates

On April 20, 2020, Indiana Governor Holcomb extended the stay-at-home directive through April 20, 2020, and tightened restrictions on how retailers can operate. Read the alert “New Enforcement Response Team Will Enforce Tightened Indiana Retailer Regulations.”

On April 6, 2020, Indiana Governor Holcomb Issued a “Continued Directive for Hoosiers to Stay at Home; Extension of Continuity of Operations of Government; And Extension of Executive Orders Pertaining to Restaurants and Alcoholic Beverages.”

On March 31, 2020, Indiana Governor Holcomb issued an executive orders to extend the current executive order limiting restaurants and bars to carry out orders only from March 31, 2020 to April 6, 2020. It also extends the ability of these businesses to sell carry out alcohol.

On March 31, 2020, the Treasury Department announced delays for tax and reporting dates for alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition businesses affected by COVID-19.

On March 18, 2020, the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission issued guidance on carryout and permit extensions.

On March 16, 2020, Indiana Governor Holcomb closes in-person patronage of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
