The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that Alexandra (Allie) Jones has joined the firm’s Utilities Group as an associate. She focuses her practice on energy and telecommunications, including representing utilities, energy industry stakeholders, municipalities, large industrial and commercial energy consumers, landowners and developers.

Jones comes to Bose McKinney & Evans with five and half years of experience in the energy, utility and telecommunications space. She previously served as the director of state policy and broadband initiatives at Indiana Electric Cooperatives, the statewide association representing Indiana’s 38 rural electric cooperatives. While in that role, she was instrumental in establishing pivotal legislation on utility issues including energy generation and electric reliability, battery storage, and broadband deployment.

Jones attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law as an evening student, and she is graduating summa cum laude in May 2024 with her J.D. She passed the February Bar Exam with a score high enough to practice in any UBE jurisdiction.

While in law school, Jones served on the executive board of the Indiana Law Review, Vol. 56 as the executive symposium editor. Her note, “Broadband Expansion in Rural Indiana: Conflicting Federal and State Policies Delay Access for Many Hoosiers,” was published in the April 2023 edition of the Indiana Law Review. She served as an Associate Chief Justice of the Staton Competition, 2022 Moot Court Society and was named to the Order of the Barristers in the 2021 Moot Court Society.

Jones earned her bachelor’s degree from Butler University.
