Victor Smith, a principal at Bose Public Affairs Group and partner at Bose McKinney & Evans and chair of the firm’s Site Selection and Economic Incentives Group, has been selected to lead governor-elect Braun’s transition team. The transition team will focus on the governor-elect’s key priorities, as well as policy and legislative development, and agency reviews.

Our task launches the process of converting campaign promises into action, delivering governor-elect Braun’s vision of freedom and opportunity for all Hoosiers, which will make Indiana a better place to live, work, build a business and raise a family.”
Prior to joining Bose Public Affairs Group and Bose McKinney & Evans, Smith served as Indiana’s Secretary of Commerce under former Vice President and then-Governor Mike Pence during his entire four-year gubernatorial term. He was a member of the cabinet, simultaneously operating as CEO of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, and managed Indiana’s domestic and international economic development strategies and operations. During Smith’s tenure, 1,096 economic development transactions were negotiated, resulting in investments totaling $15.49 billion and the creation of 93,612 new jobs in the State of Indiana.
Smith dedicated his previous 17 years to operations, sales, and executive positions in the private sector, serving as chief executive officer of CDS Engineering, a precision manufacturing company with locations in the United States, United Kingdom and Asia. The corporation, with approximately 500 employees, participated in the global semiconductor equipment and advanced manufacturing market.
Smith is a graduate of Colgate University and The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.
