Bose McKinney & Evans LLP (BME) is pleased to announce that Alyssa Case has joined the firm as of counsel, bringing extensive experience in patent prosecution, intellectual property portfolio management and international patent matters.

As a registered patent attorney, Case counsels clients ranging from inventors, entrepreneurs and startups to established multinational corporations throughout the patent lifecycle, including assessing new products through patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, preparing and prosecuting patent applications and managing established patent portfolios.

“We are excited to welcome Alyssa to our intellectual property team,” said Partner Michael Bartol, chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. “Her deep knowledge of patent prosecution, global intellectual property strategy and portfolio management will be an asset to our clients as they work to protect and maximize the value of their innovations.”

Case’s practice focuses heavily on patent prosecution and intellectual property portfolio management across a wide range of industries, including automotive, biotechnology, medical devices, chemicals, manufacturing, and health care. She also has extensive experience coordinating foreign patent prosecution, including navigating the regulatory and procedural requirements of jurisdictions worldwide.

A graduate of Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Case developed a strong foundation in intellectual property law through internships with a medical device manufacturer and a leading agribusiness specializing in chemicals and biotechnology. She also worked as a graduate research assistant, focusing on patent law, trademark protection, design patents and the intersection of patent and antitrust law. Case earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and English, along with a certificate in business foundations, from Indiana University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in artificial intelligence.
