The attorneys in our Gaming Group also have been at the forefront of navigating the gaming regulatory landscape following the recent proliferation of sports wagering and mobile gaming legislation, as well as the regulatory ramifications associated with industry consolidation through M&A activity. Our attorneys been involved since the initiation of the legislative process to legalize each new form of gaming in Indiana and many surrounding states. With each development and phase of industry growth, our depth of experience with transfers of ownership, market access agreements, shareholder agreements, analysis and preparation of administrative rules, debt and equity financing matters, and much more, has continually ensured that our clients are well-informed and positioned for success.
In addition to our experience in providing comprehensive guidance to clients through a myriad of regulatory compliance and licensing matters, we are equipped to assist with general corporate, employment, zoning, financing, state and federal tax law, construction, litigation, and alcohol permitting matters. Additionally, the government relations professionals of Bose Public Affairs Group (BPAG) also have led state and federal lobbying, executive branch lobbying and strategic communications issues affecting gaming, supplier and investor organizations. Members of our Gaming Group, all of whom are also BPAG professionals, have worked closely with the Indiana General Assembly on every piece of gaming legislation in Indiana in the last decade. The attorneys in our Gaming Group have represented a large number of the most prominent gaming companies from around the world and have engaged in gaming matters in numerous U.S. and international jurisdictions. Our approach is tailored to the particular circumstances at hand. We have working knowledge of the gaming laws and regulations in dozens of jurisdictions and assist clients in understanding the regulatory environment in each. We research and advise clients relative to the laws and regulations they must comply within each jurisdiction, and pride ourselves on establishing and maintaining a working knowledge of the structures of various state-by-state and international gaming regulatory bodies. Where necessary and appropriate, we also engage and work closely with a network of local counsel in the relevant jurisdictions.
Our professionals are active members of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), the International Association of Gaming Advisers (IAGA), and Global Gaming Women. Membership in IMGL is by invitation only, and in the U.S., only a limited number of lawyers from each state are invited or allowed to become members. Members of our Gaming Group are frequently invited to present at conferences on the legal, regulatory and public affairs issues affecting the gaming industry.
