Alex Intermill is a partner with Bose McKinney & Evans’ Hospitality and Alcoholic Beverage Law, Real Estate, and Governmental Services Groups.

Alex has extensive experience working with clients in all three tiers of the alcoholic beverage and hospitality industry, from importers and wholesalers, local restaurants and bars, start-up artisan distilleries, microbreweries, and farm wineries, to national restaurant, grocery, hotel, and package store chains.   He assists clients with the procurement of federal and state alcoholic beverage and tobacco licensing, permit  sales and transfers, alcohol compliance and employee training, addressing state and federal alcohol and tobacco violations, negotiating distribution and production, contracts,  federal and state excise tax, TTB labeling and recipe registration, and pursuing appeals of agency decisions.

In his real estate practice, Alex works with municipal planning staffs and appears before boards of zoning appeals, plan commissions, and other local government bodies to help clients achieve their land use goals, including securing variances, site selection, creating planned unit developments (PUDs), rezoning, and platting.

Alex has also served as town attorney for central Indiana towns assisting the municipalities with various municipal issues such as annexation, police and fire department matters and disciplinary actions, historic preservation, tax abatement and economic development – including establishing riverfront development districts – zoning and land use, and utility matters.

A 2004 graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law – Indianapolis, Alex is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Alex is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations.

He is conversational in Spanish and when he’s not practicing law, you’ll likely find him travelling with his wife and daughters, in the mountains climbing and skiing, mountain biking, at a concert, or upland bird hunting with his dogs, Jack and Stoli.
