Profile

Mike Bartol is a partner and chairs the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He has a wide variety of experience in several technical specialties, including biosensors and other medical devices, computer assisted surgery, engines, transmissions, orthopedic implants, chemical compositions, small molecules, injection and extrusion molding and many others. In addition to patent litigation and prosecution, Mike assists clients with trade secret, trademark and copyright matters. He is a Registered Patent Attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to entering law school, Mike worked as an engineer for the U.S. Army in chemical warfare defense. He is also an entrepreneur, having owned and operated two businesses before becoming an attorney.

Mike regularly lectures on various intellectual property law topics, including at Indiana University Law School – Indianapolis, the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Purdue, and the Indiana State Bar Association.
