Tony Setzer is a partner in the Real Estate, Financial Institutions and the Public Finance Groups. He concentrates his real estate practice in the areas of real estate development, leasing and project finance. Tony’s clients include residential and commercial developers, big-box and other retailers, outlot users, REITs and institutional investors. In addition to purchase and sale, build-to-suit and lease transactions, he also counsels clients in matters relating to corporate headquarters and other facility relocations, joint ventures, and 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. Tony also has represented clients in the disposition of financially distressed assets and property that has been contaminated by hazardous substances under applicable environmental law. Tony also represents lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions, including mezzanine financing, letter of credit-backed bond issuances, loan work-outs and assumptions. He also regularly serves as local counsel for out-of-state lenders transacting business in Indiana.
