Beginning with our founder, Lewis C. Bose, Bose McKinney & Evans has a long history of assisting municipalities and the State of Indiana.  Our representation has ranged from assisting the then-mayor, Richard Lugar, with the drafting of the Uni-Gov law that consolid

ated the City of Indianapolis with Marion County, to more recently advocating in state and federal court for clients on issues involving annexation, tax increment financing (TIF), utility rates, election law, eminent domain, territorial disputes, employment matters, and construction and contractor disputes.

In addition to advocating on behalf of our clients, Bose McKinney & Evans’ Governmental Services Group regularly advises municipal clients on the use of TIF, abatement, impact fees, utility fees, regulatory and environmental issues facing a particular community, including employment issues involving police, fire and utility departments.

Bose McKinney & Evans represents more than 60 governmental entities in the legal issues important to their stability or growth.

Our Governmental Services Group draws upon the resources of the firm’s lawyers located in various areas of the state, as well as Bose Public Affairs Group.  We know government, the law and political realities, and we effectively use that knowledge to advance our clients’ interests.
